Friends: I have just recently gotten some information regarding Harriet Moore, the woman who received Federal contracts for many items, from gaiters to blouses. She was the wife of a clergyman, and she had applied for protection under a then, new law in Massachusetts allowing women to start their own business, while protecting the assets of their husbands. She apparently was doing business at the location of a then famous Boston dry goods dealer. This dry goods dealer, later sold to a major department store chain, that is not only still in business, but also a household name today. This is a lead that I am currently following up on. I will be posting this information on Histcloth.com as the pieces fall into place. I am, &c, NJ Sekela, Manf'r. N.Jers'y. http://www.histcloth.com/ |
This
is a sly post. A cleverly disguised advertisement . . . I say it should be in vendor annoucements if he wants people to visit his website, otherwise pull the reference or pull the post. My suggestion would be to ban him outright! |
